Hi.
Can any one help me with the echo on the Cubase SX.

I want my snare to have a long echo on it, but when i use the cubase echo, its not what im looking for, i know this description and what im trying to explain is very crap, but i have tried everything, and been stuck on it for ages!!

Any help is great, im new to producing and please be kind

Are you talking about the decay from a reverb unit?

want you want to do is, put a reverb on the snare, keep the dry/wet signal quite low, give it some diffusion, and raise the decay, you could also put a gate on that too.

delay or reverb?

Its something like - as the snare sounds theres a bit of depth to it, the best way i can describe is.... say you have a standard clap.... you hear: CLAP...
Then as much as i try to experiment with Cubase i keep getting a CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP (voulume getting lower towards the end)
What i want is a Clappppppppppppp..

In that case, you want reverb, not delay.
