u plug one pair into one ear, then the other pair in the other ear.
run usb from your nose to your comp and ur all set.
but seriously, u need to run rca to 1/8 inch from the output of your mixer into the audio input of your laptop.

it's ok to call me a prick, no need to censor
I have helped alot of people on this forum but this has got to be the most rudimentary step in production
it's called
SOUND CHAIN
output to input, output to input
it works like this in the virtual world also
learn it, live it

Most mixers will have:
1) line out/main out
2) monitor/booth out.
1
LineOut/Main out will be RCA and possibly other formats.
get an adapter or cable for RCA phono plug x2 to stereo 1/8".
Run it into the line in on your computer (blue I think but maybe not).
This is the shittiest way to record a mix in life but given the nature of your post I'm assuming you haven't exactly looked into buying a sound card.
2
Monitor/booth goes to your speakers.
You can record using a free app like audacity.
You select line in as your source and hit the big red circle button which universally symbolizes "record".
