CYRUS
[ Random Trio / Tectonic / Chestplate – London, UK]
Friday night, October 30th, we play host to a man who is a true veteran of the dubstep scene. With many releases on his own renown imprint RandomTrio, as well as stellar labels like Tectonic, Chestplate, Southside Dubstars and more, he has been a solid staple in the scene since its inception. He landed a regular slot on legendary pirate Rinse FM in 2004, and alongside Hatcha and Kode 9, was one of the only DJs pushing the dubstep sound at that time. It was no surprise when one of his more cinematic tracks, Indian Stomp (clip below) was on the soundtrack for Children of Men.
A main fixture at all the top dubstep nights - DMZ, Sub Dub, FWD - Cyrus has DJ’ed the world, from America to Finland, the desire for his sub atomic bass weight is constantly in demand. In August 2008, he was asked to be part of Mary Anne Hobbs prestigious Generation Bass show (video below).
It’s hard to get better credentials for being a dubstep legend than this man.
We are excited as hell to bring you…
