I use a sample pack series called Vengence. They are used worldwide in d'n'b, breaks, house and dubstep. :)

There is probably not many packs out there that is better vengence. Many house/trance/club/hardcore producers use it, it was original used by them but then other peeps came along and started using them. And now there is s world wide spread of it

vengeance are good. they sound a bit housey and not very grimey though.

any vengeance pack in particular you would recommend?

tbh i've heard some people talking about them here but have never heard of their stuff before (i used to produce hip-hop, i guess it's different scenes).

i usually wouldn't pay for my samples but i'm getting to the point now where i would rather have a nice amount of top quality samples rather than a shit load of crap.

all of the drum ones are pretty similar. try essential house or electro. the bass one is pretty good if you're looking for tearout tones

Native Instruments Synthetic Drums, and Native Instruments Studio Drums.

Studio Drums, especially, has the best snare samples I have ever heard. Layer up a few of those babies with some nice distortion, and you will hurt ya sen.

When will this fad for making harsh drums go away? People are spending far too much time trying to be the hardest and not enough time on being creative! You dont need harsh drums to make a good track.

Heres a thought.

Get a 909 bd and make ur own drum how YOU want it?

Forget downloading all these packs of drums with FX already on them. Make ur own and it will sound better and you may learn something.

Goodluck,
