I used to dive a bit, but never did a course though.
There are some truly beautiful spots in the Red Sea to dive.
Where are you going in Egypt? Hurghada? Marsa-Alam? El Gouna?

Only tourists. African/Eastern chicks aren't my particular brand of cognac.

Im going to Dahab,
Does anyone know if you need to get inoculations when going to Dahab?
A friend of mine had to get 4 when he went to the Nile but I've been told by the sea you don't need them so much.

Normally you don't need any kind of vaccination (I presume those are inoculations) if you're going to the Red Sea.
I've been to the Red Sea for over 10 times now and I never got sick.
Anyway some tips: Never drink water from the tap (not even for cleaning your toothbrush, it'll make you sick) & try to avoid ice in your drinks in bars outside of your hotels if they're made with tap water (ask for it).
I don't know Dahab, but in some towns it can get pretty cold in the evening/night, so bring a sweater or something like that for safety. And don't forget to buy some Imodium, you'll get diarrhoea very easy (because of the change in your food pattern).
Oh and enjoy.
