I love the album...deep sounds, lots of sounds off in the distance, it's headphone music for sure.


What else is out there like this? Another album or mix that is this deep and epic.

Distance is top-notch stuff and I went and downloaded Clubroot too! That is the closest music I've ever heard to Burial so that's cool. There really needs to be more tunes like his...his atmospheres are deep!!

Yeah they are in another league...

I find it interesting that the deep heads are all over this one. Reminds me a lot of late 90s nuerofunk like Ed Rush and Optical or C4C. I think Headhunter and to some extent Distance is pretty close to it. My favorite stuff right now.

Martyn - Great Lengths is another nice LP
Shackleton - Three EPs is meant to be a bit of a peach as well

nah man, there's nothing around that can compare to "One Of Us". I like wobbles, heaviness, dirty booty shit or rude dancehall but Kryptic Minds just blew my mind with their album. Burial can go pick blueberries now coz someone else is running the game

There really is not much you can compare it to, although Burial is probably the closest thing.

I think it's because the deep heads are basically deep heads because they became disillusioned from most other things in dubstep.
The deep heads (which I think is me included) didn't hate Glamma or the headhunter stuff like Futurebound, the first Distance album, Haunted or Vex'd. It's never been about a certain sound - it's been about good music and the best music was coming out of the deeper producers which stayed true to the roots but also pushed things forward. Oh and it's all about Sub Bass.

Headhunter 'nomad' is the closest sound you'll get

Breakages album thats coming out might be quite similar aswell!

just to add though i have hardly listened to it since buying it as all my attention has been taken up by the rsd record i bought on the same day

such a sick selection of tunes on that cd
