Im looking to get hold of some 8bit drum samples. ive got most of the synths knocking around have tried creating my own drum samples off these but have failed.
I've done some google searches and the ones ive come across have either been free and sounded like they'd been recorded through some sort of shitty mic, the quality was terrible and the decent ones ive found have been either bundled into a Reason Refill (which i dont want) or have been in an over priced sample pack and dont fancy paying £60-£90 for a sample CD just for a few 8bit drum samples.
anyone know of any??

Not every distortion / Bitcrusher will sound the same. For example, if you record a sample into an old hardware 8 bit sampling keyboard, it will sound interlay different to using 8 bit setting on a software bitcrusher.
Try downloading some 8 bit oldskool ,drum machine samples. I believe the Linn drum is 8 bit. correct me if im wrong

there's a big difference in adding a bitcrush to a sample, and the sample actually being that bitrate. you'll kno what i mean when you start pitching the sample up and down
