Sometimes its cheesy, sometimes it fits perfectly, thats the fun part is knowing when and how to use them effectively, sometimes they absolutely make some songs , like mr. curtamos - trouble. what would that tune be without the "trouble, doesnt come from knowhere"

It's cheesy when they just shout "Fuck!", but sometimes they really work, like in Loefah's "Goat Stare" which is from Scanners, or "Curse Dub" by Reso

They are best used in the darker tracks

Pinch & Distance - Sick (by far the best use of sampling I've ever heard)

Downlink vs. Excision - Against the Machines ; the Terminator samples combines with the three different drops really tell a story that depicts Judgement Day perfectly imo...
Mods/Part of a Machine - Orien ; not so story like but does conjure up riots!

If its used in a clever way it can really add to the track. I want more samples from Aliens! 'They mostly come out at night, mostly...' lolz

I think it normally sounds pretty cheesy, depends what film it's from and how it's used in the tune really.

As has been said, its how its done. Can be shit and cheesy or can work proper well and make a song.

Kryptic Minds pretty much have this down and have perfect fitting samples. One of the best is Kryptic Minds - Dissolved, that sample is amazing and proper deep.

one of the worst examples of it is "What Are We Doing" by RUF. It just doesn't work on any level. I'd never want to play a track that samples kyle from south park.
Kingpin by the Others has a nice sample, anyone know what it's from?

Samples in If ya can't beat em are: Chopper, Soul Calibre 2 (mainly Knightmare), Metroid Prime 2 (Explosions, Guns firing etc) and Naruto (Gaara going apeshit). bosh!

nice. did you have to get all those samples cleared or are you waiting for the letter asking for money from the film/game publishers

Have heard the sample from Blade Runner: Finally the angels fell...etc in quite a few tunes, suits Vex'd the most.
