Do they come with or without feet? Think it'd help them keep their shape when not in use.

if it would line their coffers more fully and there wasnt all this bloody international law then i doubt nike would think twice about including the feet

I know, bloody international law, political correctness gone mad. Still want one of those elephant foot umbrella stands and I don't even own an umbrella - ah the decadence. Apparently they're "endangered" - ooh, la-di-da.

Might just fill it with dodo beaks or vagrant scalps - that'll teach em.

i fucking hate nike, they make me want them sooo much, they constantly come with the flyest shit but i just cant bring myself to indulge in something so flagrantly against my morals, finding heavy yet moral trainers is not an easy thing

The way I figure it my entire existence as a Northern-hemisphere western democracy dwelling type person is dependent on the oppression of poor third world folks (when I drink a coffee where did the beans come from? Where did the oil that makes the petrol that powers the bus I travel in come from? How much do the dudes in the congo who mine those weird minerals that are in my computer make a year? As much as I do an hour? etc.) So buying a pair of Nikes is hardly going to make a difference.

ive been to that position and back a couple of times, who knows how many more, its pretty easy to make an argument which 'justifies' it... although i wouldnt say its really justifying it... its a bit of a shaky argument, both philosophically and practically, to say because i cant realistically see a tangible difference coming of my actions that i must abandon all that i feel to be right.

but now for me its mostly not a utility thing, its a matter of self-respect... how can i have any respect for my self, for the shit i chat and believe if im walking around with adverts for oppression upon my feet? ive been in a place where i had no faith in any moral code, and consciously rejected everything my intuition tells me to care about, but its a dark, empty and false place. i believe in moral subjectivity, but that doesnt mean that subjectively i have no morals, that i should strive for a position devoid of morals...

The philosophy of shoes, coming soon to a university near you.

It's already in universities! :P

I was always the anti-globalization type and very conscious of all sorts of injustices. But generally I've completely ceased to be left-wing and think I should do some reading on both sides of the spectrum to see where I am.
