Heres some found household sounds i have recorded and trimmed as a part of my uni project.
My aim is to turn them into a sampled drum kit.

This is precisely why I bought a field recorder. I got a Tascam 09 or some shit (cost $200) and the sound quality is top knotch. Very clear and crisp. I've been recording tons of this. Hitting golf balls, opening beers, throw a rock down a stairwell, etc. Endless possibilities for sounds.

These were recorded with

1. a minidisk portable recorder with an SM57

And the stereo files were with

2. A Zoom stereo recorder (2nd gen, and was very nice sound actually!)

Im just editing the second lot of sounds recorded in the pub I work at. Beer barrels and freezer door slamming etc... Stay locked

Haha nice one man. Make sure you get pack 2 on the go as well. The freezer shutting sound in there is actually a very nice kick drum!
