I can only speak for us but the chatroom is always poppin during our show, it was like reading tickertape yesterday.

Regardless of quiet spots in the chatroom, dsfm has the largest online listenership out of all the dubstep stations, and not by a small margin.

really? even beyond Sub.fm..... i some how am not 100% sure about that

the stats on dubstepfm yesterday said like 350 people were locked!

The stats don't lie, we usually get between 380 and 480 at any one time during our show, archive downloads are pretty hefty too. No other online dubstep station comes anywhere near that.


The significant thing for me is that the majority of listeners are not regular posters on here, which says a lot about the growth and size of the scene imo.

Depends on the critera for "online listenership" - if by that you mean largest amount of concurrent listeners during the hours that it is live, then, sorry but no it doesn't. Fact.

i've been hanging out in this chat for time and I've gotta say I'm consistently impressed with the people inside, some of the most accommodating people I've met in music. 0% elitism. big respect.

^^^yes snf nailed it there. im in there all the time, always good tunes and the ppl are more then open to talk about anything. im glad there is something like this to interact with the DJs.

Dubstep.fm record - Current record was set on Thursday 10-29-2009 11:21 with 522 listeners.

SUBFM record - Current record was set on Tuesday 10-20-2009 11:11 with 206 listeners.

actually dubstep.fm does have more listeners at ANY given time than any other dubstep internet radio station. period. no matter what time it is, live or not.

our record of 522 listeners happened during an archived show.

shoutcast is easy to pull the stats from.. in fact.. shoutcast has a page that will show you...

that helps yes... but it also helps to be broadcasting at 192K, have smooth transitions from live to archived content and visa-versa , have EVERY live show record and added into the playlist automatically, etc, etc

short of a few server migrations due to outgrowing hosts, and general internet gremlins, dubstep.fm runs damn smooth.

Dubstep.fm definitely has the most active channel of any dubstep radio station I've seen. No denying that.
