I deleted the last lot of weapon samples I had (swords, guns blah blah)

was wonderin if anybody knew where I could get some?

I looked around and can't find any

Yes he did that aswell. He was the original sound engineer for Doom 3....'He reunited with id Software in 2003 as the sound engineer for Doom 3, though due to "time, money and bad management", he had to abandon the project, and his audio work did not make it into the game's final release.' Big shame.

I don't think its ever been confirmed that these are the actual sounds he created, but everyone thinks they have always been better than the toy gun sounds of the original game, and lives up to the quality of production by him. Plenty to read if ya google 'Trent Reznor doom 3 sound pack'.

a great example was used by DJ Narrows on his G.A.R.A.G.E remix for Luck and Neat, where he distorted and chopped it up the sound on Street Fighter II Turbo..... just as an opponent gets beat

i tried the weapon sounds on darkbeats, but logic said they are 8 bit sounds and cannot be used... anyone know what thats about?

Can't remember the name of the program I used, called audiomover I think
converts to 16bit and you're set

There's a lot of apps that can convert to different bitrates, but the sample will not suddenly "sound 16 bit." Just in case you didn't know that already.

Quicktime converts... if you have mac, you have quicktime

if you download and install srcds server for HL/HL2/TF2/CS/CSS it will also download all of the wav files from the game to your hd (handy )

its long ... and if your not familiar with dos i wouldnt attempt it

yup wil not make it sound any better, just compatible with logic

in fact could possibly make it sounds worse (by a tiny amount)

but I'm no expert
