Quite a few people think its boring and has nothing special to it. Dunno how though, its such a sick song.
This is big though, out to Sasha.

Its a good tune but there is SO MUCH HYPE around Joy Orbison, sometimes you just gotta let someone sit back and make some more tunes... it's like Zomby all over again

to say joy orbison is hyphed is silly
ask a stranger who he is and it's unlikely they would know
hyph mngo is fucking magical....i played it 4 times on a bus journey the other day!
it's jumped straight into my top ten itunes tracks....that and brackles LHC are amazingly well constructed and addictive....and instant
although hyph mngo gets better with each listen and i can't imagine getting bored of it at all!
oh and you have to give mad props to sasha for making encore un fois...
im fucking joking i know it was by sash

I don't think Joy Orb is very hyped tbh, Hyph Mngo was yeah but that's it. The hypes died down a bit now.
anyway, big up Joy Orb, haven't heard a bad tune from him.

Hey im not saying I dont like his tunes or anything, I just worry when someone drops a big 12" and suddenly he's doing all kinds of things described in long words in long blogs by long headed bloggers.. if he can cross scenes like that with one tune than massive respect, but you have to remember hype always comes before backlash and I just worry that the the turnover is so ridiculously quick these days coz everyones so throwaway about stuff, especially online.

on a similar note, i saw dj shadow play last week at the dj hero launch party and he dropped tunes by untold and benga.
can see hyph mngo going down well in 'beefa, got that euphoric quality to it.

He's a fucking trumpet.
He was brilliant until about 1994, when all he played was massive piano riffs and fat black ladies singing their lungs out over boshing house beats.... and then came John Digweed and PROG HOUSE and the whole world went to shit.

He should be fine; evidence proven by his Mary Anne Hobbs mix and his other mixes...guy's got immense taste in tunes and is not afraid to drop tech house and techno in a set of garage and "future 2-step" and funky. I cannot wait until his AUS Music release. Shame "GR Etiquette" ain't bein' released on its own.
