I practically lived in vinyl junkies and later phonica from the age of 18 till about 26, im now 30 and house-wise my knowledge of the newer stuff is a bit rusty.
Take some time out, sift through their selections and build up your own taste. Saying 'deep house' is a bit of a drop in the ocean with the way house, d.techno, soulfull etc merge.

Don't waste your time searching sites for "deep house"...you'll get a lot of crap
Some of the above can have a tech sound, but they all make deep, groovy music that's unmatched...not the same old formula. Explore those artists, and expand out from the labels they release on

There's more than enough on the other posts to get you started also make sure you also check these (some will be youtube)
Master C&J \Liz Torres listen to ALL their tracks (they are on youtube) like Face it and In the City
The Truth Open our eyes (one of the great deep house tracks)
Jungle Wonz -The Jungle
The label Other side specially groups Underground repairs, Umosia, Spatial Understanding
Jovonn- from Be free (goldtone) and LY going back to Zanzibar (nitegrooves) through to more recent (digital only) tracks like Banger and Deep end theme hes been consistently deep under the ground for the best part of 20 years!

maybe check out...
http://drownedinsound.com/in_depth/4138 ... ed-reading
there is a mix there by Lee Curtiss thats billed as deep house, I've not heard it yet but I trust the writers opinions he's got skills and I'll be rinsing it in a bit...
To be honest all the years I've been folowing house, deep house has meant something diffrent depending on who you ask and what age they are so god knows.
But I second Jungle Wonz thats some quality stuff. Bird in the Guilded Cage is sublime.

the labels Ornaments and FXHE ...and some releases on (what i think is the best uk label - caravan records)
maybe check the new watergate mix by sebo K
and there is an amazing tune which has been released by soule power called guro triba (came out on the jelly roll ep dva 004)
its not as deep as it could be - because the drum programming is quite driving but it still manages to suck you in transport you elsewhere
