OHM RESISTANCE presents the first release on it’s newest sublabel, RESIST. The lead off single comes from Venez – a collaborative project between several nebulous figures, and features two well loved musicians as guests.
On the A side, legendary Japanese trumpeter Toshinori Kondo fires away over an grime styled beat pumping with a seriously distorted mid range line and ten tonne sub bass. The shrieks and howls of the trumpet destroy the senses as the tune minimises and progresses. The dive subs come on near the end of HOT BITCHES and drag you under.
On the B side, a sludgecore slow dubby sub pumps thru Dr. Israel’s detuned intonations on PANKRATION FAT DUB. Intercut with jazz drum edits, depth charge sub sections, delays ride over the mix transforming all the elements in true tradition dub style.
