So how awesome was Last night!

Wish the venue had been a bit bigger, was a little over crowded! however King Midas Sound, Ikonika and Kode 9s epic 3h set blew my mind! Haven't been to a night with such a wide variety of styles in ages. Respect to all the hyperdub crew and here's to another 5 years!

You speak the truth about the over crowding though, got abit better around 3am. Everyone I saw was great but Cooly G's set was the one that blew me away.

Absolutely amazing.
Ikonika and Cooly G's set were both stunning, excited to hear new stuff from them.
Sitting on the bass bins during Mala's set was bliss.
Also the Burial tune that Kode 9 played at the end was mind bogglingly beautiful, I wasn't sure if burial would live up to the hype he's creating, but i'm very excited for his new album.

Yeah that tune was perfect after raving like a madman to kode 9s old school jungle! Did anyone see Mala going mental behind him?

Exceeded my (very high!) expectations!
Wicked, wicked night. Mala tore it down, the mix of Tapped and Anti War dub was huge. And he ended on I loefah remix, haven't heard that out for time! Kode9 also smashed it, some of the garage/funky stuff he was playing went down really well, fucking loved the unexpected amen tearout at the end! Caught bits and pieces of Darkstar, Ikonika, Cooly, all sounded good but mainly stayed in room2. Gutted i missed LV and King Midas, next time eh...!

About the remix of tapped and anti war dub - it was identical to the mix of tapped and anti war dub 35 minutes into Skream's essential mix? what's up with that. is it a track in its own right?

Yeah it's an old school special, called Anti War Tapped or something

Yes dubplate only unfortunately! Maybe they'll give it away one dat that's all we can hope for. Was a great night, if a bit packed earlier on, all the sets I saw were good.
