ok so i use ableton live jus cos i like it and think its good to use,
although iam considering on gettin a hardware synth like the Access Virus to get my wobbles,leads, and bass nice....
but for now untill i save up...
how do Rusko,Caspa,Skream Etc get there wobbles nicee? lol
what vst's do a nice wobble?

the synths in ableton can do it, and if u cant work it out get a sawtooth/square wave on the go and put a autofliter on the channel and boom.....wobble

You can add LFOs to events, too. So you can program in adjustments to the LFO rate over time to surprise your audience.

When you hear a "wobble" all you are hearing is the filter's cutoff value changing in time. Filter cutoff would be the frequency at which the filter is applied, and the filter is just a curve that silences some frequencies and lets others through. Usually in dubstep songs you are hearing a lowpass filter (removes the frequencies above the cutoff) doing the work. A basic wobble that you hear all the time would be cutoff moving from low to high and back again, in a sine wave pattern. This can be done simply through modulation (controlling) the filter's cutoff by an LFO. From there, you adjust the amount of modulation, to go from barely audible wobble to full on wobble.

You could also use Envelopes, or even draw the curve (automation) that you want the filter to do. All of those things will give you a wobble, if thats what you are going for. These are features in most synths you will come across.

The challenge is coming up with a good raw starting sound that will make the wobble itsself sound good. Filters can't add the frequencies that you aren't already feeding to them, so that's where a lot of the work should come in. Experiment with making tones and raw oscillators and test which have good results when you take them to the wobble stage, and toss filter them. Getting the right balance is up to you.

Best way I found 2 make rusko noises is to mic up a horse with a compressor mic & place a firecracker up its anus,
By lighting the tail, this will create a fuse with which to light the cracker giving you just enough time to run & dive into a nearby bush before the wobble is created.
Run this into an overdrive unit & add a little drive to it & run it thru an LFO & hey presto.
Serve chilled, with a side serving of rexloops

or
(for those of you against blowing up horses)
