Claiming on phone insurance....

... anyone know anything about how it works?

My iPhone has gone a bit mental after getting dropped... left channel cuts out every now and again and it turns itself on and off from silent all the time even though I'm not touching the switch.. obviously knackered something in there.

It's insured - so can I just walk into a Carphone Whorehouse and get it replaced or am I likely to end up without a phone for ages? I'm due an upgrade in a couple of months, so I'll just deal with it if they're going to leave me phoneless for a week or something....

I'd go and ask them myself, but it's fucking cold outside.

My mate dropped his iPhone and the screen cracked. He got a replacement one pretty damn quickly but I'm not sure what the process entailed. You deffo won't be phoneless for a month.

Nice one... well, I'll pop in tomorrow morning and see what they're going to do about it. I assume that a replacement iPhone comes with a free blowie from the hottest girl working in the Whorehouse that day.

I think that depends on what level of cover that you opted for. If you've been paying for the premium one, then just go in, discuss your phone and then drop your trousers.

Def worth getting a new one/repair, then you can sell it when you upgrade. If you sell a broken one you'll get peanuts

The way it worked for me, and this is going back about five years. Vodafone sent a courier to my house, I dropped my phone into a seal bagged and he took it away. The following day he came back with my replacement.
