anyone know anything about this?

(just to put this in context, on Friday night El-B said they've got a new Burial bit coming out on Ghost)

that's true. it will be on Nu Levels

from interview with El-B wrote:Расскажи немного о своём лейбле Ghost.

It (Nu Levels) consists of tunes from old and new Ghost producers such as Burial, Zed Bias, Narrows, MRK1, Kromestar and many other. We plan to release it in March 2010.

Is this gonna be "just dubstep"? I worry as some of the El-B / J Da Flex stuff I have heard recently, to my ears, could be any of the 5000000 ok half step producers around, no disrespect to em, but I hope this is daring and innovative, as we know they have it in them

edit: sorry, I dont mean the Burial tune, the others

Excited about this! Hopefully the Skream tune will be one of his deeper/2step tunes.

Excited to hear this!

Curious as to what "just dubstep" is? In my book "dubstep" could be any type of sound... Some young uns would even call it "future garage" lol

ignore the wording, it's going to be large when you get the original people back on it! El-b and Jay da Flex always know how to do it properly so i expect nothing but good things!
will be a must have

As in the 2010 dictionary definition. Halfstep + bassline + some atmospherics + 2nd drop bit more chainsaw etc.

I know Dubstep can be any sort of sound, but I've heard some new J Da Flex and El-B clips and they were pretty dead tbh and really really different to their sound a few years back.

I'd love em to prove me wrong!

while i disagree with you whole heartedly on the definition of dubstep in 2010, i do agree with your thoughts on j-da flex & el-b

Yeah obviously, people have to move on, but I sometimes get the impression that their innovations went a completely different direction, and that some of their recent output, for example a coupla those tunes on El-Bs myspace and that Narrows 12" which was pure chainsaw, don't have any unique place in a really saturated scene.

This said that El-B bit on Soul Motive was good, even if my copy sounds incredibly fucked :-s

Downloading the podcast now to make a real opinion either way

All record retailers will replace any faulty record, please return it to the shop of purchase. We are aware there were mispressings that made it into the sales batch. Should you be unable to return your copy to your retailer, our distributer Z-Audio should be able to look after you, you can contact them here: info@zaudio.co.uk

Thanks.

gotta agree.

interestingly enough, J just put out an EP of old dubs on southside dubstars. i'm assuming they're all from around 2005ish. the difference in sound is huge.

i have heard a few of these tunes and i really like em.

as of now i don't think all the tracks are final on this album and they are still making and adding more... but the ones
that i have heard, that are definitely on there, are fresh for sure!

to be honest, i haven't heard a more rugged bassline than 'think your greezy'...
something really 'hood' about that sound that i can't get enough of.

just got a new mix off dj raggs' soundcloud that has a lot of new ghost stuff. 'move forward' by zed bias is biiiiig!
if i can remember to get the link i'll post it up here...
