Just noticed Untold is finally playing Edinburgh......sadly it's on a Wednesday night....happily it's at Edinburgh's coolest club, The Caves.

Untold's set will be on Wednesday the 27th of Jan as part of the Heard It Through The Bassline club-night.

Ramadanman played at this last time and I sadly couldn't make it. Did anyone here go?? If so how was it???

Ramadanman and James Blake played last time and it was fucking crammed.

Total Edinburgh Uni-fest - but decent, and a good vibe throughout.

I've always wondered how that gig went down. I honestly thought i'd be quiet due to the lack of advertising and it being a Wednesday.

I think there was a big Facebook promotion for it - and the students are always happy to go out midweek if it's a decent night.

Caves is a favourite of mine, but I'd never seen it that busy before!

Yeah Caves is awesome.

Departure Lounge gets pretty busy. Especially their NYE bash. This years looks awesome once again actually.

Ramadanman & James Blake were both sick but the place was crammed full of................stnuc! They PRd that night like geniuses, never thought it would get so packed! Nonetheless it will still be worth it, Untold is a badman! Missed him at Fortified aswell god-daim!

You can moan about the crowd all you want I guess..............Just makes you seem a little stuck up. I understand the vibe is a little different from what you might expect, it was different from most of the raves that I hit whether in london or in Edinburgh but at the end of the day I'm a student and the guy I run the night with is a student, so the vast majority of the crowd will be students, not die hard scene headz. I actually found it to be much more relaxed with regards to aggro etc.

Any suggestions are welcome by the way......

Cheers for the feedback. Obviously we have little control over what sort of crowd the night attracts but if a few rahs get into ramadanman, untold etc as a result of the nights then I'm not complaining, seeing as part of the reason we started the night was to try and get the music we're into to a wider audience.

Also ramadanman did comment on the fact that the higher than average female contingent meant most people were actually dancing and having a good time, plus there was much less aggro than you'd expect from such a packed out night.

Btw dusty head if any rahs ruin your birthday vibe i will personally refund you!

Haha i definitely noticed a more balanced ratio of guys to girls! I got all respect for you guys for getting that club night together I think Edi has been really needing that sort of music policy. Untold on wednesday, the Nutcracker with Granny + girlfriend on the Saturday and then JOKER in Aberdeen oh aye!

btw Dust Head if you walk over a car and get me arrested again I will personally spike you 10 pills and make you read Ronin.

I didn't have an issue with it - I liked that it was rammed on a mid-week night, and there was definately no aggro.

Speaking to James before he went on, he was also blown away by the amount of people there.

I'd say it was great to see. Not the usual dubstep crowd either - so interesting to see.

I'll most likely be heading down either way.

Wednesday

I was at Ramadanman, it was a good night. I know the blokes promoting this and they generally put on awesome nights, so I'm definitely going. They're pretty good at getting a mixed crowd, and bringing in people who wouldn't normally go to a dubstep night...

I quite fancy this, will see if I can convince a few heads to come through with me. Big ups for putting on good guests in the burgh, something thats been distinctly lacking in a city full of steppers.
