a new 7", a one-sided 12", and an mp3 exclusive to boomkat (which quells any doubt in my mind that the boomkat staff = various production).
imo at best they're quirky and will take some time to digest...

Thats an interesting theory especially with the Manchester connection. I've always thought they loved up Various a little too much (as good as World Is Gone was). Probably not true though but still...

An interesting theory but Variuos generally seem to get a lot of love from heads who aren't so directly related to the 'scene'. Look at how positive reviews in Pitchfork and the Wire have been.
The same could be said of other 'outside' artists eg: Bassclef, Boxcuter, Burial etc etc

Are you talking about that Skip Divided Remix? Is that Various Production? I downloaded from the audio section of the forum months back and its an absolutely sick tune but I've not known anything about it.

I think it is is something else. It is a remix of "Analyze".
It was released on the eraser albums site along with a free surgeon remix. But it seems to be gone now.

oh... I didn't notice this until just now:
Boomkat wrote:THOM YORKE REMIXES - NOW ONLINE

Remixes of two of Thom Yorke's tracks from his album “The Eraser” will be available for free download on the site –
www.theeraser.net. The tracks will be available for one week only from Monday December 11.
The two remixes are:
“The Clock” remixed by Surgeon
“Analyse” remixed by Various.
Thom's intimated that these could be just the first tracks to be remixed from the album although no further details were available on any future remixes at this stage.
btw I wasn't being entirely serious with my conjecture. lol
edit: gad I'm still getting hypnotized by your sig dub.u! classic!

discogs has them listed as Adam Phillips and Ian Carter
http://www.discogs.com/artist/Various+Production
dunno if that's who they really are though...
i've kind of always thought it was a mesh of many different people, hence the name.
im feeling the 12" (is it much different then the lp version though?), but the 7" doesn't really do it for me...

sounds pretty excellent as usual, no doubt these will find a place in my record collection soon.

I think these guys are part of the "core team", the rest is a bunch of visiting artists.

They are 3 at the moment.
Ian, Adam and Pedro. I meeted them in Lisboa last week.
They are based in London and they don't have nothing to do with Boomkat.
Wait for big things soon
Peace
