I Started out using fl studio 9 a couple months ago and have got pretty good with that :)(using ni massive aswell ) i made this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-a7E7LgElic

i have found thaat fl is kinda blank if ya know what i mean so ive started using reason 4.0 and ive found it hard to use but all the synths are more powerful and nicer sounding and the overall quality is better(its also better on my CPU) but i have the money for a macbook and logic ive heard very good things about logic pro and im wondering which is more fun/nicer better for dubstep ??? i want to start learning one now so when im like 16 ill know alot about it ;)

"kinda blank" - I'll take it that you don't use any VSTs other Massive. To be honest, there is an awful lot to gain from learning the basics of production from what you have now. You say you are only producing a few months, I doubt you have exhausted the your or the potential of FL9 already you will be learning for the rest your whole time making music. What's the rush?

There is no way to say which DAW is "more fun/nicer for dubstep". Everyone like to use different software. Certain programs suit some people more than others. If you think Reason sound better than FL, use that.

One piece of advice - try sticking to a DAW for more then a few months, there is so much to learn with each one that jumping from one to another will only slow down your learning and take the fun out of you making music.

if you're doing well with one DAW there's no reason to switch imo, unless you feel uninspired and need a fresh new take on things....even then chaging daw is not always the best answer as you have to learn it all over again and it will get in the way of your creative process for sure. Get your mac pro but stick with FL studio for now blud, and save your money for somthing else....maybe some more vst's? *cough*
or from what ive seen of your set-up in your sig....buy an audio interface and or monitors with the money you were gonna spend on logic?

How many threads are you going to write about different DAWs? Stick them in one thread 8)

Fl is a very easy DAW to pick up and easy right away. More so then others. Having said that you can do just about anything in FL but you have to read and learn about the software your using. As with any tool you have to practice with it and use it.

If you feel the need download the demos of a few different DAWs and see which one you like the best. See which ones workflow suits you the best and then stick with it. Learn it inside and out.
