Following the MAW thread I dug this out and have uploaded for yall

Essential listening following Lil Louie Vega from his formative years in the Bronx via Latin, Disco and Early Hip-Hop and House. The clubs like the Paradise Garage and Mentors such as Jazzy Jay and Todd Terry to the formation of MAW, Nu Yorican soul and subsequent projects right up to the present. This goes some way to explaining why he is such a force!

sort of pointing out the fact you didn't actually have anything to say except

'check me, i fly to new york on a wednesday and don't even bother to listen to the music'.

that's it really.

unless you live in new york, if so ignore dis.

Fair play for having a bash, turned out not too bad. Love your fierce ruling diva fix as well. Any chance of fixing me up with your tracks on here? Will certainly play them.

Glad you all enjoyed it. Louie Vega is indeed a true master, open to and appreciative of many genres . As if being a top producer wasn't enough he is a brilliant DJ Who plays TUNE (unlike some over-rated US DJs)- I have also seen him rescue 2 nights when other (UK) names were NOT delivering.

i never dug their cover of black gold of the sun
they only take on half the composition. it misses out so much. the drumming on the maw version is boring by comparison
when you consider what ken and lou were capable of this just disappoints
check this out if u aint heard already
