Props man, i use this all the time with kick builds etc in logic. One thing though, its not a reverb really, More of a delay/echo effect.
I was expecting an actual reverb sound to be created.

lol i didnt think until i'd uploaded it but i might have a mess about see if i could fake reverb .... tbh i dont think im too far away a little more tweaking and you could turn it into a reverby style effect

Same, what i love doing (especially during the build up to drops) is using two snares, one more of a rimshot and the one that you're going to use in the main track.
Create 8 bars or so of each in a rolling snare type pattern, and decrease the velocity of the rimshot snare like in the video. Then you increase the velocity of the main snare.
It creates the effect of blending in the middle where they fade into each other, and they seem to seamlessly transform from one snare to the other.
I did it really subtly at around 1:00 in this house track i messed about with - obviously you can make it much more prominent.
