After 3 years of helming the cult radio show, The Ruffage Sessions on the longest running original pirate internet station, Sub.fm, the core trio behind the Hessle Audio label, Ben UFO, Ramadanman and Pangaea, are calling it a day. Tomorrow night’s 4 hour special - from 8pm right through to midnight - presented by and featuring the platter merging of all 3 of them (“for the first time in ages” according to Ben UFO) will be the send off; that special present given to the loyal listeners and message board frequenters.

So, to mark the passing of a big part of the trio’s lives they’ve selected 10 of their favourite sessions - some archived on Sub FM’s cavernous recesses and others re-upped especially for this occasion – to give you a great idea of the guests they’ve had along the way along with a vital insight of the multitude of styles you can expect to hear tomorrow night.

Gutted.

Can't believe it's been 3 years though. Remember when Ben and Pange got rejected by Leeds Uni Student Radio just before starting on Sub

no way.

i was just lookin for tracklist for an old ruffage show, and realised i just missed the last one ever. oh well -time to get on the d/l -no change there then :)

actually feelin pretty sad about this news, but tryin to be philosophical -gots to move on and all that.
so the question is -what's next?
if anyone can point me in the direction of another show playing ...wot u call it? the stuff i like, beautifully mixed*, and with so many gratuitous filter sweeps?

thought not, but anywhere near would be good

anyway -nice idea to compile the best of -should keep me going for a bit

see you at ruffage :t:

* (apart from some of the guests on the 2nd birthday show -what was goin on there? too many celebratory sherries?)
