Yeah Israel is fucked up but if I were gay, a woman or both, I'd rather live in Israel than Palestine. Basically it's just another example of how fucked up humans are. The daft thing is it is quite common to see Jewish and Arabic children playing together.

That's true. I've met a gay Israeli arab, but I've never met a gay Palestinian arab. But regardless of how much we may disagree with certain aspects of their society, they still have a right to not be bullied and intimidated by the army. I am vehemently anti-Islam, I am also Jewish, by the fact my mother is a secular Jew, but I still think what the institution of Israeli is doing is wrong.

If the Palestinian Army behaved like that in a predominantly Israeli village, what would they be labeled (after they were killed)? Terrorists, no doubt.

I totally agree, man, but why would 'we' want to stop Israel behaving the way we do when we can sell them billions of pounds of arms?

edit: I also think there's a certain degree of paranoia that unless you're an Israeli Jew is very hard to understand, with the lolacaust something that happened in living memory and a thousands of years of persecution being drilled into you day in and day out from an early age. etc. etc.

i know you want to keep your optimism up, hard to accept statements like mine, but i think you should rather focus on protecting and loving the good people around instead of wasting your love on this sick race

I would not do what I do if I thought that way, I aim to help others regardless of what they have done. Hate breeds hate and in the grand scheme of things my work is nothing but if I save one person and improve their life and their loved ones I will die on peace and a very hAppy man. I honestly believe that 99% of people are good people but I am aware there people out there who do not fit into my beleif.

A friend of me moved to Israel on the 1st of Jan. He's staying there for aprox. 1 year, doing volunteer work as a gardener in one of the small communities called Kibbutz. He said it was pretty funny and they have banana milk.
