Love the emotion!
I think the bass could be louder. And I think it would be nice to exagerate the contrast between each part. For example, 8 beats before the second drop, you could put one hit of the rim shot through a delay a big reverb, and remove every sound that follows.
Nice job, I'd love to hear the final result!
