Sorry.....but,

reggae......what?

No doubt that both his albums have helped fuel the rest of hyperdub, fantastic news on all accounts :D

Big up Burial and Hyperdub! To be honest i don't think the genre classification really matters, good music is good music! :)

Hardcore reggae fans are never pissed off. you don't see motherfuckers beefing about reggaeton synth noises on irierootsforum.com...

i know reggae fans annoyed when dancehall sounds too euro-trancey or not JA enough.
would love to hear someone who got this burial album expecting reggae music only to find they hear the sound of whales mating.

Thing is... Amazon aint really a site you would go to actually buy ANY dubstep is it? I'm still more for supporting the little indie shops that struggle to keep their doors open mon-sun (yeah 7 days a week bizznizz, big up blackmarket & beggars banquet) The fact that Burial's album has made it on to amazon, and is one of their best sellers is infact, pretty fucking amazing, for a dubstep/2-step/whateverthefuckyouwannacallit artist. The fact remains the same, Burial is the bollox at what he does, and although no-ones contesting that, like someone said earlier, as if proper reggae heads are gonna be pissed that the genre classification aint spot on, reggae/dub/dubstep is about vibe, and Burial has got tons of it.

Now go check my tunes on the Dubs section :)

If I was a hardcore reggae fan, I would be more pissed off about Bad Brains than Burial.
