BUGZ IN THE ATTIC- Booty La La (Underground Knowledge mixes)

About 2 years ago J Da Flex gave the accapella of bestselling broken beat track 'Booty La La' to Loefah, Skream, Dubchild & Landslide to play around with. They all came up with blinding remixes, and in my opinion the first two represent the best that those producers are capable of.
I PROPOSE THAT THOSE WHO ARE IN FAVOUR OF A VINYL EP OF THESE TUNES GETTING RELEASED SHOULD SIGN A SORT OF PETITION ON THIS THREAD.
The Roots of Dubstep 12" double pack and the Soul Jazz Records Digital Mystikz releases prove there is a market for 'old' and unreleased dubstep tracks.
I had taped the show at the time but was devestated when I accidentally taped over it.

I've only heard the Loefah version, and it's sick! I'm all for it.

bugz just did an acapella contest recently for their new album. i highly doubt they'd put out something from an old album. virgin/v2 is nearly bankrupt and they're known for bad promotion.

The Loefah one was my favourite too. It's like Horror Show, there's no way that the sub bass could be replicated properly on an MP3.
The Skream one was very strange, haunting but very mellow.
The Dubchild one made use of the original's bassline but also added his own dirty twisted bass sounds as well, similar to voodoo.
If I remember rightly the Landslide one was quite similar to the Bugz original, but with a Garage type of drum pattern.
The thing is J Da had two of the Bugz (can't remember which ones) on the show when he unleashed those tracks and they quite liked a few of them. I was surprised when V2 never came up with a remix package

I wonder who actually owns the rights to the tracks though. Even if a cash strapped V2 won't touch it with a barge pole it would be nice to think of an underground label putting them out if they could be lisenced

These mixes really need to come out. I'm not saying someone should bootleg it but there must be some way of it seeing the light of day on vinyl....

Alright, we've had about 7 replies to this thread but a ridiculously large 180 views of it. Basically anyone who want this to buy these tunes should just write the following sentence:-
I AM PREPARED TO PURCHASE THE UNDERGROUND KNOWLEDGE MIXES OF BUGZ IN THE ATTIC 'BOOTY LA LA' ON 12"
It's the easiest way I can think of starting up an actual petition. I mean fuck sake, even Loefah counts his mix as one of his fave productions. These need to see the light of day before people forget about them.
Lets hope some of the 170 people who viewed this topic want these tunes too. So start signing!

I'm sure that back when these were fresh, the word was that they def wouldn't come out.
It's not just a case of getting support from the underground record-buying public unfortunately - the original was a high profile release with radio play etc, so I can't Bugz will be particularly bothered about/interested in selling 1000 copies of bootleg versions, nor would it have much added value for their name/brand.

Point taken, but the Bugz have just released a bootleg white label of a remix they did of Roisin Murphy track that was foolishly taken off the official release, so they are not above releasing illegal tunes in (presumably) small quantities.
Mind you I'd much prefer a proper release. I'm sick of having to buy dubstep tunes in the three month period after the release or face the consequences of never having the oppurtunity to buy it in the future (though it's nice to see some serious efforts at repressing stuff- The early DMZ stuff being an example); if it's that hard to get a proper tune imagine how bad it will be with a bootleg.

557 PEOPLE HAVE LOOKED AT THIS THREAD. IS THAT 557 IN FAVOUR OR DISAGREEMENT.
They obviously must have an interest in the tunes. They need to sign the petition!

That's what we need more of.
I mean, I can hardly send this thread to Bugz in the Attic and say, well 20 people signed the petition, but around 600 people looked at it. It's not as if they'll run to the pressing plants.
