I've got a compressor that I like that isn't vst3, so boon for me (if I ever touch my production machine again). THX.

I love the sidechaining in Cubase 5!!!

Long long long overdue TBH.

The new plugz are decent though, if a little lacking in character

Your 3rd party plugins need to be vst3 though, right, to utilize the new sidechaining?

Cube's compressor is wimpy, no?

I dont know tbh, the way its set up with the Cubase compressor looks exclusive to its design.

As for wimpy, for sidechaining, doesn't matter its achieves the effect quite satisfactorily. I could compress the sound again with a lower ratio if I wanted to beef it up any more.

Sidechaining the native delay plug in is awesome fun as well.

To be fair that's written clear a day in the manual and there were videos all over steinberg's website about it when they came out with it so if you own cubase 4 or 5 and didn't know that then there's probably a shit load of other great stuff you are missing. I suppose the article is good for people with an aversion to manual but for fuck sakes guys.....RTFM!!
