WE ARE 1!!!
...and to celebrate - we've put together a line-up that we consider to be a bit special... check it...
1000names
(Black Acre / Eklektik Records)
http://www.myspace.com/1000names
Another Bristol debut brought to you by the Bassics fam, Bulgarian duo Casio Blaster and 99 Mistakes have hit the scene hard with their glitched out hip hop tracks, and have caught the attention of many DJ's, including Alexander Nut, who selected one of their 'Melonball Bounce' for the Rinse 08 mix CD. Expect details on another hefty release via Black Acre very soon!
Clouds
(Deep Medi / Ramp)
http://www.myspace.com/cloudsaremoving
It's hard to imagine the dubstep world without dynamic, Finnish outfit, Clouds. Their blissed out, yet deep and full compositions are so tight and well produced, it's be hard for them not to grab the attention of even the most discerning listener. Expect a big set of warm low end bass and staggeringly beautiful melodies in the Bassics barn.
Blue Daisy
(Black Acre)
http://www.myspace.com/bluedaize
With out a doubt one of the better (and certainly most interesting) producers to emerge from London last year, Blue Daisy's set at Back to Bassics last August struck chords with a lot of people, and he's sure to do the same again - equipped with fresh, unheard material; this will be a must see set from one of Black Acre's best signings. Expect massive things for this boy in 2010 and beyond!
Loops Haunt
(Black Acre / Eklektik / Fortified / C8)
http://www.myspace.com/loopshaunt
With every song he creates, his status seems to catapult from level to level (and rightly so!) with sets at Bloc and a full UK tour with 65 Days of Static in the pipeline. Traveling down from Scotland for his 2nd Bristol outing, Scott Gordon aka Loops Haunt will be gracing The Croft stage again to bring you the finest in glitchy, staggered, industrial and down right sinister tracks you could wish to lay your ears on. Those who caught him last time will testify that when pumped through a rig, his beats aren't for the faint hearted! Don't say we didn't warm you!
Alkemy b2b Threnody
(Dissident vs Back to Bassics)
http://www.myspace.com/alkemyuk
http://www.myspace.com/uktrendsthrenody
And rounding off the bill we have Dissident's very own bad man selector Alkemy, taking on Back to Bassics very own Rottun Recordings signed resident, Threnody. Boom!
..and last but by no means least - keeping you steppin and skanking away with a broad spectrum of Drum and Bass; in room 2 we have Bassic DJ's on rotation for 6 hours! MESSY!!!!
...featuring DJ N/A / Rupcha / Mogley / Toman / Riggolous
Friday 9th April 2010
The Croft, Stokes Croft, Bristol
