16 bit just bailed on all new zealand shows for their upcoming tour.

i remember a thread a wee while ago with them doing the same thing in central america? can anyone find the thread? seems to be coming quite a common occurance with them

like trashing your hotel room - stealing the promoters rental car crashing it.. then completly going awol over a disagreement in fees? i know for a fact they were going to be paid very handsomely in new zealand

i dont think so. if they continue to do this, this thread can help warn promoters to not book them (or at least be wary)

Pretty average as well that the promoters have not made any announcements yet. It is the afternoon already . There is going to be alot of pissed people tonight if word doesnt get out.

If anyone has a cell phone contact details, or knows where the boys are - can they please PM to me. The promoters would like to get to the bottom of what happened.

We regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control, 16 Bit will not be making it to New Zealand.

Entry will be FREE to holders of valid 16Bit Tickets, and $10 to the general public.

For those who have 16Bit Tickets you have two options.

Option 1).

Hold on to your ticket and it will be valid for:

THE EASTER WEEKENDER TOUR - CHCH feat: Matrix, Futurebound, Noah D, Trolley Snatcha, Shock One, Phetsta & L.A.O.S - sure you missed one international, but you get to see SEVEN instead!

or

Email sam@premiumevents.co.nz and we will arrange for your 16Bit ticket to be swapped for:

FOREIGN BEGGARS (UK) & THE FREESTYLERS (UK) - CHCH
You'll need to wait a week or two to get these, but perfect if you already have your EASTER WEEKENDER Ticket, then we recommend this!

Option 2).

You may apply for a refund from Cosmic Corner.

PREMIUM is only involved with the CHCH show.

the promoters for the Auckland Show are Dub Militia and are going to be putting out a Press Release shortly.

What you on about mate. There is definite place for this, letting people know that the tour is off, and also to warn other promoters that an act is behaving unprofessionally.

You can't expect to be able to act like this, causing lots of people a lot of grief and then expect them not to kick-up a stink about it. Its completely fair enough.

Bigups to all the promoters for your efforts, keep at it!

touring is fucking hard and lots of stupid shit can go down on tour. rob is clearly an optimist and you cant blame him for that.

being said, if the above said is true (16bit wanted more cash, couldnt get it, bailed), then this thread can be very helpful for promoters looking to book 16bit in the future.

Not really the place to discuss this. Tour canceled? Yea discuss it. Professionalism of the artists in question? Discuss it with other promotors. Not the place.
