Which audio interface to get???

Hey, I have had my firebox for about 3 years now and its starting to suck and make pops and sound awful when i record. For my new interface I have narrowed my choices down to these two:
Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 - http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SaffPro24/
Echo Gina 3G - http://www.zzounds.com/item--ECHGINA3G

The Focusrite Saffire seems like the way to go but when looking at reviews on sonicstate.com I saw it got a 4.1 and many many complaints http://www.sonicstate.com/digital/model ... 8&manuf=98.

Which one should i get? Any suggestions for other audio interfaces for under 300ish are welcome as well. I wana be able to have 3 stereo outputs so i can go into my mixer and i wana be able to record (with mics or guitar). I also want an audio interface with no problems and a long life.

I dont know alot about audio interfaces, but it will help if you say what operating system daw, technical information about your computer, is your firewire texas instrument or ricoh? Cpu type things like that. From what i know it greatly depends what will be best for your comp depending on these things.

have you tried a defrag and reinstalling the drivers?
after every major project a re-image my PC and reinstall the DAW and the drivers.
i've done this with the PCI Echo Layla to the USB 1.0 box i have and even on the FireFace and ProFires I use.
i know it's a pain to reimage and reinstall stuff but believe me it'll save you a couple hundred bucks.
just try a defrag and an uninstall and reinstall of the driver first.
i also had a box running logic and the problem was logic and not the audio card. so i uninstalled and reinstalled logic.
hope that helps.

I had a Presonus Audiobox, it was crap. Pops and crackles like a bowl of Rice Krispies.

I sold that to a mate who was using it purely for getting his mixes into his PC, and it worked fine, so clearly it just couldn't handle what I was asking it to do. I wouldn't buy another piece of Presonus kit for all the tea in China though. And I like tea.

I replaced it with a Saffire, and haven't looked back. I run mine on PC and it is fine... Every now and then I'll get a few pops, but it's usually when there is a lot going on. I have a mate who uses one too on a Mac, and has never had a single issue. I am fairly certain any problems I encounter are related to the shit stain that is Vista on my lappy anyway, as opposed to the box.

Can't go wrong with the Focusrite mate.

ok let me explian, when i get a new computer, i install the operating system and the DAW software before i begin a project. i make an image of it using Norton Ghost. when i'm done recording a project i back everything up and "ghost" the drive. ghosting essentially just wipes the hard drive and reinstalls everything and now you're back on a fresh image. it take about 25 minutes instead of 3 hours. believe me it saves ALOT of headaches. i learned to do this from being in a corporate IT environment. when i learned that professional recording studios do this i started doing this too. let me guess...you guys also surf the internet on your production PC's too right? i know it's nuts but i have a PC and a laptop that NEVER touch the internet. those are my main recording PCs. i have had to reinstall Logic once during a recording session but that was quick and easy since it was like version 4.5 of Logic on a XP box. and yes, a MAC running OS X should be defraged if it's heavily used for audio and video production
