Let's try and keep things positive shall we. Times have never been better, and there's a bit too much bickering for me.

I'll start...

1] Club nights and parties are popping up all over. I can go out at least twice weekly and hear dubstep every time if I want.
2] There are some seriously good new producers emerging, and a great deal of established producers with a lot of talent. if you don't agree, look harder.
3] The genre has expanded beautifully, and from tear-out to chill-out, there's something for everyone. Variety is the spice of life.
4] We still have a fairly burgeoning central forum for promotion, and community - yes, it's growing and there will always be naysayers, but I like it.
5] So many people involved with dubstep and it's surrounding genres are friendly and co-operative. I've lost count of the number of down-to-earth nice people I've met just through producing, DJing and going to nights.

You've taken all the good bits! Erm...

1) lots of free mixes by big names...
2) rejuvenated vinyl sales...
3) it has fun sounds in it that make me laugh with amazement still...

5) dubstep girls are hot!

yeah, i've got no idea what people's beef with all the brostep is. I have no trouble ignoring those nights and going to see shit I love almost any week I'd like the scene's more awesome than money will let me keep up with

DFNT your #5 is so dead on. with a few exceptions (wont mention the names)...people involved in the dubstep scene are all so down to earth, nice and supportive.

1. it makes me feel better then any other style of music ive heard in my life
2. theres now enough diff styles of dubstep to get you through your day..
3. the dance is fun..and versitile
4. it spreads like wild fire. i cant even explain the amt of people that have just gotten into it recently and LOVE it...and theres still more who have no idea what it is yet.
5. its always changing, always growing, always spreading...
