So This guys tutorials on NI massive are great. BUT in this vid at 50 seconds.

Just by turning a sin-square or triangle fully to a 100% sin wave its bassy, when I do it its high pitched. I also tried some of his other tutorials and nothing sounds right.

Everything has a high pitched tone on my massive. Can anyone advice to why? anyone else have this problem?

when I finallly get good tutorials I cant even follow them.

Anyone have any ideas? anyone else have the same problems?

An octave is the interval between one musical pitch and another with half or double its frequency. Which basically means, the same note, only 12 semi tones higher. ever seen a piano keyboard? You can see "sets" of the same 12 notes.

By saying down a few octaves, he means you should play a lower note. That's where the bass comes from, the lower your note, the lower the frequency.

Like serox said, you have got plenty to learn, don't be hard on yourself, and don't make threads saying something is Urgent. It's not urgent. Take your time, and you will manage to do everything you want to do.

But i try all notes and same thing.

I tried and updated massive and same thing, uninstalled and re-installed.

Yes I have a lot to learn but how can I if my main tool is not working properly.

If i put an envolope on where the guy in the vid says to and put it all the way up to 60 it goes crazy.

There is seriously something wrong and I dont no what

Nothing sounds as it should, I mean like really oddly. I will follow step by step as the guy in the vid does and its terrible from step one and gets worse and worse.

Same with all tutorials. Somethings wrong with massive

It's not massive that has the problems it's clearly the user.. just keep at it you will get it eventually. Maybe try reading the manual they make those crazy things for a good reason.

it just changed even higher, so i got frustrated and pressed loads of keys, it got better, so pressed more and its now doing the correct tones it should.

for now, im sure it will change again! So this is what its like to have massive working

after 2 months playing around, only 2day following his tutorial I realized something was wrong.

Contact the vendor you purchased massive from for a one to one tutorial, it's standard to all owners of NI products.
