FM8- How do I assign the LFO to the cutoff freq?

I'm new to FM8 and was wondering if anyone could tell me exactly how to route the LFO rate to the cutoff frequency in the Z Operator? I can only seem to route it to modulate the volume of the entire Z operator, instead of just the cutoff. Any other tips on FM8 are much appreciated!

Hmm
Yeah, I seem to remember the Z and Y operators working in a slightly different way to the rest of them.
I will have a look and post back later.

search for it, i think daft tnuc pasted screenshots. Z is the filter. route your operators thru Z and go to the mod window and turn up the lfo on Z

Doing this only modulates the effect of the filter, not specifically the cutoff frequency...this is the problem

first you have to run your oscs through your filter. once done, make sure your Z filter is grounded in the very bottom of the matrix ( i always put it at 100%, dunno if thats right), then go to mods and put the LFO amount on the Z. Mess around with the amount and also the filter cutoff to get the sound you want, you could also add some breath from the mods.

Any reason that it sounds out of phase with another wobble sound, even though all keysyncs and velocity follows are turned off on all operators?
