put it through mixed in key.
Oh... edit.. frequency analyzer and this might help you, see where the meat of the sound lies, disregard outside, tune.

Is there any pitch envelope on these kicks, lots of kicks slide their pitch, so hard to pin it down to one tone.
I just hold a bass tuner up to my speaker when I'm wondering about something like this. Usually does a fantastic job.

I don't remember exactly what note they are but I seem to remember them being pretty well tuned (possibly to a G but don't take my word for it). If you can't work it out by ear run it through a tuner plugin, it should indicate it fairly accurately because after the initial attack they have a pretty solid tone.

The 808s I've used (sampled from an actual 808, but not Goldbaby) were 50hz, (chest frequency) which is around G#.

Import 808 kick into a sampler. Pitch it up a couple of octaves. Find the same note on a synth VST.

It just dawned on me, that if you REALLY cant get it, you could repeat a single grain of the wave, so that it becomes a tone again instead of a kick...
Def. be easier for alot of tuner plugins...

Also - not to state the obvious... but if you try a few methods, and are still having trouble locking the pitch, you could always email Hugo. He is a pretty nice guy and treats his customers well.
