First post on dubstep forum, been trolling for a couple months now. Big thanks to Yoni and Futures for getting my wobble game going

*THIS IS MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT A WOBBLE PATTERN/COMPLETE TRACK*
Needs work..
I kno the wobbles clip during the vocal drops
I need to make the beat more interesting, just have 3 loops running
The wobbles need to be structured better, maybe make the pitch changes match the wobbles

Hopefully the mix is okay, thats about all I would say is near complete but it was done with headphones
Next posting I'll have a second wobble variation for 16 or 32 bars, better drum pattern, some musical elements and eventually rewire everything so I can fade everything nicely and lose those mute/solo clippings.

Please, some feedback... how's the wobble sound? Sub bass? My wind? Decent mix? Keep in mind those and the drum loops are all that's in here so if anyone has suggestions for an instrument part you think would sit well in the mix let me kno.

Thanks

edit: Here's some more ive been workin on from week16...

Wabble - lil'Taste : the wabs are a bit erratic but I took my inspiration (and sample) from the film "Requiem for a Dream" in the scene where they take a lil'Taste of the pure..
Soundcloud

Wabble - Man in the Symphony : Playing this back I like it somedays and somedays not. Im indecisive whether to put more variation into the second drop...?
Soundcloud

Wabble - LEO : I came up with this wab and it reminded me of a dog bark... I beefed it up to sound more like a lion roar. I finally mixed it to a decent point and am somewhat pleased with it. I still think it needs a little more zazz.
Soundcloud

edit: Heres some from week17..

Wabble - Wabbler Dub (Original Mix) : Dub experiment, again, the wabs are a little crazy... could use a compliment wab in the gaps. Maybe a sick sample...?
Soundcloud

Wabble - Wispy (New Mix) : this is my newest piece and I think its pretty abstract. I like how well it's structured and it just kinda flowed naturally on this one, I'm usually very poor with keeping predictable structure (advantages for the DJ). The vibe could be changed to make this a smoker tune... but I like where it's ended up so far.
Soundcloud

ANY FEEDBACK VERY MUCH APPRECIATED

im quite liking this, synths sound angry, i like
i think the sub bass is abit loud though, and it seems to interfere with the wobble ever so slightly IMO, but other than that i like it, nice crisp percussion too!
wabble wrote:Soundcloud
i like it, but im thinking the wobble doesnt sound right straight after where it cuts to the vocals (1.32, 1.39 etc) when everything drops back in, the wobble doesnt seem quite in time? not too keen on the wobble its-self really, nothing wrong with it just not my taste lol, seems abit to 'mid' rather than 'bass' if ye get me.

okay, posted this in ithe march thread with no feedback, diddnt realise the tread was coming to an end lol
its erm.. different, i went for the sort of liquid DnB feel with dubstep. very early work but i quite like it tbh.

i know the drums need changing before the break kicks in as that bit seems to drag? anyway,. here it is, + &- feedback greatly appreciated

ye i feel ya.. i think the out of time has to do with the LFO switching from one to the next and then not coming in or out right on the closing of the wobble... which unfortunately i either have to change the wobble lengths to fit, the LFO rate to fit, or the attack on amp env and i wasnt trying to lock anything into the sequencer, just try to get past the 3min mark for once
thanks for the feedback much appreciated

Ez, Ive been a jumpup dnb producers for years and have decided to now progress onto dubstep as ive always loved mixing it. I decided for my first dubstep tune i would make a remix of the dnb classic Ebony Dubsters - Ra. Its a work in progress but this is what i've got so far.

All comments and critisism welcome

i liked the intro a lot. maybe for the wobble add another mid tone layer to fully bring out the sound.

Sick bassline you got there!

The allround sound, sounds a bit misty. It hasn't really got a bright sound. and on my speakers the sub kinda pulls back the rest of the track, lowering the volume on that should do the trick (altho i must say my speakers might not be a good reference :))

@cleanexecution:
Nide idea in the track! The snare is too soft imo, layer one one on top of this one, maybe add a clap. if you mix it down properly, work on the wobbles some more and you got a nice banger there.

Posted this one allready in the march topic, but didn't get much feedback (due to overdose on WIPS i think :)) So a repost for this one.

@ cleanexecution (lean-execution-pimpalicious)
Yeah its def mean alright :). But I can barely hear any sub. Dunno if you splitted the bass, but the balance seems to be gone. Turn the midrange stuff down and the sub up (be gentle with this ;)). Arrangement wise its cool and variated. I think you hi-hats are a bit to loud tho.

@kontigobeats
Nice warm sounds (saw and pads). I also like the 8 bit arp touch during the second half of the song. Snare/clap sound nice and clear and the drums sound balanced. Maybe the rising effects could use a phaser or something like that. Make it a bit more stereo. I like it a lot.

@code zero
Hehe I feel u man, some goes for me. So if you (or anyone else) could still give me some feedback on the tune in my sig I would really apreciate it. :)

Now for some quick things that pop into my mind while listening to your track: I like the metallic woble sound. But i think it lacks a sub. So split it and layer it with a pure sine or something like that. Also the melody of the wobble gets a boring after a while. Changing it up with more different wobble sounds could make it a lot more interesting. I also think the kick could use a bit more bottom end. Make it more beefy!

Since it april fools putt me into a cheese mode. So heres some cheesy w.i.p. from a while ago. Still not sure if I should finnish it (hence the no intro). Also comments on the track in my sig are still very welcome since it didn't really get much feedback :(.

@kontrol
The montey python sample fades away a bit strange. Other then that I think the bassline is sick! keep it up.
