I'm new to making dubstep, but I like your style of wobbles. Thats alltripwire22 wrote:Soundcloud
The wobbles are nice on beat. I like. The vocals to me didnt fit the beat, but thats me.wabble wrote:Soundcloud
First post on dubstep forum, been trolling for a couple months now. Big thanks to Yoni and Futures for getting my wobble game going
*THIS IS MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT A WOBBLE PATTERN/COMPLETE TRACK*
Needs work..
I kno the wobbles clip during the vocal drops
I need to make the beat more interesting, just have 3 loops running
The wobbles need to be structured better, maybe make the pitch changes match the wobbles
Hopefully the mix is okay, thats about all I would say is near complete but it was done with headphones
Next posting I'll have a second wobble variation for 16 or 32 bars, better drum pattern, some musical elements and eventually rewire everything so I can fade everything nicely and lose those mute/solo clippings.
Please, some feedback... how's the wobble sound? Sub bass? My wind? Decent mix? Keep in mind those and the drum loops are all that's in here so if anyone has suggestions for an instrument part you think would sit well in the mix let me kno.
Thanks
ya theyre a bit much, and off the grid.. thx for the feedbackeXceL wrote:The wobbles are nice on beat. I like. The vocals to me didnt fit the beat, but thats me.wabble wrote:Soundcloud

i like it, but im thinking the wobble doesnt sound right straight after where it cuts to the vocals (1.32, 1.39 etc) when everything drops back in, the wobble doesnt seem quite in time? not too keen on the wobble its-self really, nothing wrong with it just not my taste lol, seems abit to 'mid' rather than 'bass' if ye get me.wabble wrote:Soundcloud
NP, I'm new to producing so I'm a little bit on the noob sidewabble wrote:ya theyre a bit much, and off the grid.. thx for the feedbackeXceL wrote:The wobbles are nice on beat. I like. The vocals to me didnt fit the beat, but thats me.wabble wrote:Soundcloud

ye i feel ya.. i think the out of time has to do with the LFO switching from one to the next and then not coming in or out right on the closing of the wobble... which unfortunately i either have to change the wobble lengths to fit, the LFO rate to fit, or the attack on amp env and i wasnt trying to lock anything into the sequencer, just try to get past the 3min mark for oncewabble wrote:Soundcloud

liking the steady wobble and the subtle variations in there. im a fan of less is more and so far this is a great example of thatdjfreek wrote:http://soundcloud.com/djfreek/ebony-dub ... reek-remix
Ez, Ive been a jumpup dnb producers for years and have decided to now progress onto dubstep as ive always loved mixing it. I decided for my first dubstep tune i would make a remix of the dnb classic Ebony Dubsters - Ra. Its a work in progress but this is what i've got so far.
All comments and critisism welcome
i liked the intro a lot. maybe for the wobble add another mid tone layer to fully bring out the sound.tripwire22 wrote:Soundcloud
good stuff. i liked the production of the track. only thing i can say is beef up your wob a bit and youre set!
yea i agree, def feeling the intro and sounds but think needs a bit more to it to bring it out.cleanexecution wrote:i liked the intro a lot. maybe for the wobble add another mid tone layer to fully bring out the sound.tripwire22 wrote:Soundcloud
