Hi,

I'm new here and kinda new to dubstep in general. I've been listening to it since december. I've been DJ-ing since January and I just made my first 10 minute mix. It would mean a lot to me if you can comment.

Just listened to it now, the tune selection is a bit heavy for my liking but thats just personal taste. I thought the mixing was fairly good, espescially if you've only been mixing since Jan - also, (although the tunes you used aren't really my kind of thing) they worked really well together which is (for me atleast!) the most important thing!

Keep at it man, maybe do a longer mix next time? I did a series of 15 minute mixes when I first started out which was fun and its nice to get a set of mixes together, but generally speaking its better to do something about 30 mins long (ATLEAST 20-25!) simply so you can use them as demos, gives promoters etc a better idea of how you structure your sets and the variety of stuff you play rather than just a brief demonstration of your mixing ability.

The only other thing i'd suggest is maybe branching out on the tunes you mix as well, simply cos wobbly and jump-up dubstep has been properly caned over the past few years, doing something more varied might make for a more interesting listen. Thats just personal taste though!
