I was listening to some cottam and, by chance, some om unit the other week and thought... eh up.
I put this together the other day, all around the 106 bpm mark, see what you think
tracklist
Mark E - Fighter
Harmonic 313 - Flaash
Lunice - One of me
Cottam - 001 B
Om unit - Lavender
Reggie Dokes - Dream catcher (FCL Edit)
Laurent Garnier - Forgotten thoughts
Cottam - 001 A
Stinkworx - Coelacanth
DJ Ghosthunter - Experiment 3 (MLZ mix)
Mark E - Smokescreen
Floating Points - Love me like this (nonsense dub)
I have a few Minimal Techno style cuts at 100bpm... I'll post something in a few days. They need to be cleaned up a little

yeah, this is a sound i'm into too. new 1000names track are synthy with a more straight beat running around 105 bpm. I'm liking those om unit tunes too, and check the stuff on the Citinite label - it's more like tech funk and more sleazy than minimal but it's nice.

there is loads of this 'nu-disco' sound kicking about, i bet a browse would turn up some other bits, I've found most of that sound to either be too cheesy or cold, or they put layers of passive guitar licks that just remind me of shitty bars.
still, check the nu-disco bins/sites

the slow house revival definitely was kicked off by Mark E "Beatdown" on running back
such a hip hop feel to that track, it mixes great with hip hop stuff. Wayyyy too slow to mix with house. Deep vibe.
Larry Heard was doing this years ago, making hip hop beats with a house feeling. Not many of them came out till the late 90s though.
the nu disco stuff is mostly shit, it's derivative of stuff thats actually good. Look at Dj Harvey's edit of Silver Apples on Black Cock.. Hip hop tempo, "wonky" qualities, but truly a balearic house record to the core. its on the blue one, i can't remember what the cover up name is.
