Came across a track by him called Missing You (which was on a Floating Points XLR8R Mix) and thought it was incredible...
So bought the album which it's featured on "Genesis"..and it's fair to say it's one of the most amazing, soulful, deep, uplifting pieces of House music I've ever heard.
Anyone else into him? Got any other tips?
Edit: Thought I'd make this an official Appreciation thread...The man deserves it...

one of my absolute all time favourites
first heard in headphones, in bed, in small hours not long after a break up.
did it for me to say the least!

Absolutely, when the dub of can you feel it comes on at wrong o'clock in the morning it stills sounds like the future. That plate with washing machine on the flip is priceless

Totaly agree with this tune.
'Theme From Distance' is also top notch, as is most of his work.
He did a knockout remix of The Associates 'Colours Will Come' which is one of his lesser known remixes. I've got it buried somewhere, I'll try and post it up.
The man is a god really.

Absolute legend. He's always been able to nail that plaintive melancholy without sounding over dramatic or hammily emotional.

i always assumed it was the man himself?
i only have the 12 and rmx dbl pck of missing you so not sure about that other tune you name
think i remember hearing Larry did the vocals on What about this love? as a demo guide to play to rob owens for him to re-record and he suggested he leave it as it was with his own voice?
and it sounds like the same voice on Missing You
although i love most things i've been able to buy by Larry Heard i actually dont know a lot more about him. just the music mainly
happy to be corrected or have any of this confirmed

Cheers for the info Donga (the man with the greatest beard in Brighton)!
