I tried. When I clicked on the tracks that people have uploaded I follow the last one was 9 hours ago, so probably a problem site-wide.

It seems a site problem.

"pipe_wait"

google it or osmething IDK...

Shit literally gets bawcked up in the pipes. All it takes is one, n then random ass processes just start building behind the backup. Your ip is being directed to a blocked server... Reuploading it a billion times is just making your situation worse. On average. Takes 6-24 hours. Read thier forum, you know, they have one, this, here, is DUBSTEP forum.

Do whatever you like. You cant change the way a Linux server reacts to an overflow of traffic. Until they quit hosting with 1and1 its gonna happen. No matter how many different bounces you throw at it.

ip_config... maybe... rebounce... no...

i've started judging songs by their soundcloud waveforms. but not by the crappy comments. i thought they were supposed to be for other musicians to offer feedback on your stuff not for you and your online friends to have back and forth cock sucking conversations.

"nice track" "heavy" "mellow feel".

yeah. waveforms are misleading.

describing something as lush makes me want to punch a kitten in the face.

and how. soundcloud used to be so cool. still very useful, but i haven't had somebody give me advice/criticism on the player in ages, rather just on the forums. all i get on the player nowadays is of the sweet/nice tune variety, which is nice and all, but doesn't really help. soundcloud is slowly turning into myspace. i've generally stopped friending - i mean following- people.

/baked rant

But some tunes are really fuckin lush... Best adjective I can think of... alot better then 'tune with very full frequency range that conveys an emotion of love or well being and sounds like auditory bliss'... why type all that, when I could just say 'dude, this shits lush man. nice one.'

I still think Soundcloud is pretty fucking awesome. It isn't there just for feedback, it is there for whatever people decide to do with it. I rarely hear good feedback anywhere for what it is worth. I mean even when I try to give feedback I start realizing as I am giving it that all I am doing is stating what I would do with the tune. I am not even sure how that is helpful for someone trying to do THEIR thing. Or if you are totally honest then people will hunt you down to kick your ass. People get so defensive hence the "heavy tune bro". As annoying as it is sometimes "320?" is about the best feedback you can get, it mean this person has room on their hard drive for your music... it's not total crap.

I had it stuck creating a waveform yday for hours until i stopped and deleted it, worked the 2nd time though. I haven;t really had that many problems with it at all aside from the site going down once but i think it'll have to start fucking up big time to make me want to stop using it.

Exactly. I can't really think of a site that doesn't have it's bad days. I know this is not the first time soundcloud shit the bed for a day or so, knowing that I even payed for an account.

no doubt. i wasn't hating - i love soundcloud and what it has done for helping me get my music out to people and, thus, improving the music.

it's getting a little myspacey, as i said, but still nowhere near as bad. much less 14-year old girl type bullshit.

essential eh? I noticed Skream has one and even the mysterious Zomby. found that kind of odd. wonder how many other big name producers are on there.
