Bach's Sonata in E flat Minor, a parent's tale.

Okay, was just getting started with a tune this afternoon when my daughter, age 5, came home from school. She saw that I was working on music, and listening to music, and she asked me, daddy why do you like music so much. I told her that I love music. She said she didn't like music. This broke my heart. I told here that maybe when she grows up a little more she might start liking music.
I was sampling some flute and harpsichord from Bach's sonata in E flat minor, and I just let her listen to some of it, and she was like that's baby music. I was like what? We used to play a lot of classical for her when she was a baby, so that's what I'm thinking she was thinking about. So I said, okay, come here, and I cued up the track and I played it from the start. She started looking at me with this face... about 8 bars into she started to cry. I asked her why she was crying, and she said the song was so sad...
The power of the minor.

Cool man. I sampled my nephew talking and hitting stuff the other day, then made a track out of it (pitch/time shifting his vocals etc). Was really rewarding to watch him nod his head to it when he didn't know that was what you were meant to do.

Wicked post bro.
I'll often get my 7 year olds opinion on tracks (I don't ask but he goes what are you listening too). Its amazing how good an ear they seem to have. Dad the vocals are out of time ..... sh*&t your right. And then 5 mins later its back to "in this star wars the clone wars episode why did ....". lol
Big Up.
