no but I usually run my basslines through one of my bass amps, usually whichever one is in best working condition at the time although I have had some interesting results with a busted pioneer amp from 'back in the day'

What run stuff throug hardware?
Loads of old school hardware loyal guys around here...
Habits a serious gearslut... and training Upstate to become one...
Aside from circuit bending and recording my own samples, not much access to real tubes, ect. so lots of use of greasetube / warmers n stuff.
Ohhhh n to include... Multiband compressors are gonna die to software sooner then anyone thought.

don't worry too much about own tunes atm. get yourself a big HD and just record as much crazy shit as you can, then when you do get round to your own tunes you have this massive sample-bank you've created to start raiding.

yeah that was the plan, we were playing this lil synth thru a korg analogue filter & was guna mic up the bass amp & run it thru the desk... but we ended up just tweekn that shit all thru the studio time. like we coulda just run an output from the amp, but i like the sound of doin it thru a mic better.

yeah it definitely gives a different sound, just from one mic to another the sound can differ greatly. just hit record at start of the sesh and tweak like crazy

good to see some people using guitar amps for their productions, do you guys usually mic up your amps or just use them as sends?

i've used cb radios for vocal parts. if you tune them in and out you can get some lovely ring mod effects
