by Assassin
Human Traffic
Fear and Loathing
Trainspotting
The Godfather
Goodfellas
Kubrick
Any spaghetti western.

I have had urges to create after all of them.

But books are a serious inspiration too.

1984
Animal Farm
Kes
And the Ass saw the Angel
Fear and Loathing (AGAIN!)
All Irvine Welsh
And many, many more have started off massive inspiration sprees.

I completely lose myself in books.

Can I tell you something, I don't really see any movies or read any books anymore. I used to read like the dickens (bad pun, my bad), but I don't know, I just don't do it anymore. I also don't watch very many films anymore. I did see district 9, which I thought was really really bad, no offense, I know everyone loves that movie, but to compare it to children of men and city of god is just down right irresponsible.

I really did like children of men, felt it was one of the most relevant films I've seen in a long while.

That fire in the sky is fucked up bro, I'd never heard of this film, but I might try and figure out how I can see it. That dood whimpers quite a bit in there.

huh, i ain't really been reading or watching shit either. every time i sit down w/ a book/movie/show, i just get bored in 10 min.s and wonder why i'm not just doing music. i just get tired of watching people live their lives when mine is more interesting and has better characters in it.

the last movie i saw was avatar in 3d, which i fuckin loved. i felt as excited and awe-struck as 2 hits of acid honestly. i'm not gonna watch that one for a while, so that the magic will be there when i come back to it. i know a kid who watched it like 8 times in the theater, what a dumbass.
i think i only liked it so much because it reminded me of the beauty and wonder of our own world. whenever i get an urge to watch something/get high, i usually just take a walk outside my house. within 30 seconds i know i'm going to find something uniquely beautiful. god i love living here. all the flowers are blooming! it's spring! it's like the world's exploding. put some music to it and you've got one helluva powerful experience.

The Looney Toons put me in a brostep mood... prolly why I used to sample em so much

Fear n Loathing...

Frailty...

Trainspotting...

Elephant in the Room ; and ect.

Watching Bill Hicks do the heres tom with the weather routine. Thats some epic shit.

And everytime I watch Infamy I get really pumped to go do SOMETHING artistic. Maybe not produce but damn that movie puts me in the mood...

Cant say movies do much for me though... def. get my inspiration from life over other arts, the other arts give me an idea of how to translate out my real influences, so yeah, they do play a role, but its like I said, watching the art of others is like hearing it : it might give you the medium, but only you control the brush.
