Its been three years since his last album so I'm with you on wanting another one, I'm pretty sure hes taking his sweet time to make sure that this album is even better than the first two either that or hyperdub/burial are finding it hard to get some sample clearance which could explain why its taking so long.

Or hes not putting one out?

Did he ever say he was?

Hes not the type that seems like you can really bank on it...

There have been leaks of material throughout that time in hyperdub mixes, so one could assume something might be coming. Bunch of pressure and hype to deal with though.

Oh and he did the four tet work, which was sick!, so he clearly is still producing.

This is EXACTLY what I've been thinking. He's way too big now to use samples freely as before... I would bet money its sample clearing thats holding it up...

In that case, it would be cheaper and easier to just go back record all the samples... but he does all his stuff destructively... nvr mind.

Also, think about the amount of time he will be putting into it if he is making one. Topping Untrue will be such a massive feet that it will surely take years. His debut LP was made over 4 or 5 years i think so theres no doubting hes taking his time.

He's still making fucking amazing tunes. I cannot wait for a new LP.

It's mentioned in an interview somewhere. Says he had a whole album written but didn't like it, so chucked it out and wrote Untrue in 2 weeks.

"I don't want to be just bleak," he says. "I wanted to make a glowing, buzzing album, do it really fast; to cheer myself up." He smiles. "I'll do the hi-tech ultra-darkside album next time."

I like putting uplifting elements in something that’s moody as fuck. Make them appear for a moment, and then take them away. That’s the sound I love…like srebme in the tune…little glowing bits of vocals…they appear for a second, then fade away and you’re left with an empty, sort of air-duct sound…something that’s eerie and empty. Like you’re waiting just inside a newsagent in the rain…a little sanctuary, then you walk out in it. I love that.
