sis-step?
it's hard to say cuz every style is developing in its own way. i imagine the traditional wobble tracks will begin to run their course soon enough. more RnB vibes would be nice. also the kind of wonky/staggery vibe of Rudi Zygadlo, James Blake, Starkey and others.

more of what i can only describe as neurofunk dubstepish stuff. stuff that falls inbetween hard and soft, scifi pads and sounds with nice morphy but not wobbly layered midbasses, deep dark vibes without going to minimal or to hyper obnoxious.

So do you mean exsiting styles reviving or actually a new sound?
Anyway, I'm voting for minimal dnb and easy dubstep. Basicly more stuff like: Distance, Actress, Instra:mental, D-Bridge, Burial etc..
But there is already a lot of material in any genre and every genre gets more material every year

I think that is what is current tho by the end of the year it could already possibly develop into something else. I Like that there is some dnb I can actually listen to right now. Not sure what to expect of dubstep as a movement per say I think I would just like to see more producers doing their own thing well and not try to copy other artists.

A new subgenre called Yo!Step will conquer the dancefloors of big "normal' nightclubs, it will have elements of R&B and be remixes of hiphop, house and R&B hits. (i.e. Usher or Beyonce YoStep remix)
the dubstep scene itself will do what every other dancemusic scene has done the last 20 years: divert and isolate in to > techy, deep, funky or ravey sub-scenes.

yes also feeling future funk stuff like Onra
and autonomic dnb is where it's at, hopefully similar drum sequencing will be more predominant at our 140ish tempo too
