HEADHUNTER (Tempa, Surefire - UK)
Bristol dubstep legend Tony Williams, aka Headhunter makes his much anticipated return to SF with his trademark rhythms, plus more than a few tricks up his sleeve. Since his last explosive SF performance, Tony has become the UK’s champion of Juke – Chicago’s wildest musical export yet. Miami bass meets hyperspeed house meets B-More only begins to describe this nascent genre, which after years of incubation is finally making waves across the globe. Tony has played no small role in this spread, as his juke / dubstep crossover hit ‘Footcrab’ under the alias Addison Groove has turned countless heads in the direction of the windy city. Wednesday will never be the same after this one-two punch of bassweight and bootyshakin’.

Joining the action is San Francisco’s finest and Headhunter collaborator DJG, whose impeccable selections and peerless energy have earned him worldwide recognition. With a record bag consisting of the most in-demand dubplates and his own productions ranging from deep dubstep to tropical techno to heavy half-step drum & bass, he strikes an electrifying balance between versatility and raw passion.
DUBSWORTH (Spit Brothers, Brapdem!)
Dubs Alive co-founder and one half of the duo The Spit Brothers, badboy Dubsworth starts with a rich blend of acoustic and synth steppin’ styles to warm things up.
222’s top notch soundsystem and dark, cozy setting (not to mention their astounding pizza menu) up the ante to an already momentous occasion, and promise a sweat soaked night for the Bay’s history books. Get to know the sound of Chicago juke, because this is just the beginning.
