VST support for reason and all the rack devices are to become VST's for other DAWS, that or they are giving everyone who purchased Record their cheddah back.

did anybody see the last episode of lost last night?

ok so it's reason 5 and record 1.5. the first of the "5" devices seems to be something called dr. octorex.

Looks good, but is that all man? Am not even much of a sampler so new octo rex player is not the best of features but it was a much needed one thought

im stoked. even though i think the dr rex should be able to slice loops within itself with no need for recycle, i like that it got some cool new features i can see myself getting into that, imo rexs and the rex player are fucking awesome, i love putting in a break and easily being able to shorten the decay/sustain on each slice. it can be a pain doing it manually in audio. i think ill be sticking with Reaper rewired with Reason once five comes about for sure.

I kinda agree, I mean going from 4.1 - 5.0, and waiting 3 1/2 years and they just spruced up the loop sampler? id say a lot of there resources went into to record

This looks shit, and I'm a reason fan. I can put a fuck load of dr. rexs into a combinator myself thanks. There are loads of cool things they could do, and some simple improvements like fixing the shortcuts and analyers/db markings etc.

Not that impressive to be honest. Dr rex was in version 2.5 (when i bought it).
and its not much of an upgrade.

Apps and plugins like Kontakt 4 are way ahead of the game. Being able to do everything 'dr octo rex' can do and PLENTY more. Shame they dont allow you to create rex's from within it, then it would be useful!
Just sayin dont think many people are purchasing recycle these days as theres so much better competition.
