Need help with pads

Hey everyone, I have a problem. When I try to make a pad layer, just a looped 4 bar chord, it sounds nice apart from the fact that when it starts on 1, there's this very prominent 1st beat sound that I don't want. I want the sound to be consistent throughout, just a pad, no dynamics, no 1st bar 1st beat accent, don't want it to sound like it's a looped 4 bar thing. Does that make any sense? How do I do that?

you'll probably want a longer attack and longer release on your amp envelope

I've always padded my whole track. Gonna start making 4 bar loops though, more rythmic.
